
Game Summary
The Minnesota Vikings (1-0) will play the first of two home preseason games when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs (0-1) at the H.H.H. Metrodome this Friday, August 21. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. (CT).
Friday’s game will mark the 15th time the Vikings and Chiefs have met in the preseason, with each team winning 7 of the first 14 matchups. Outside of preseason games in Kansas City and Minneapolis, the two squads have also lined up against each other in Memphis (1989) and Tokyo (1994). The last time they met in the preseason was on August 14, 2005, when the Vikings defeated the Chiefs 27-16.
Next week the Vikings go on the road against the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football (8/31/09) while the Chiefs host the Seattle Seahawks (8/27/09).
