Game Summary

The Minnesota Vikings (6-6) will meet NFC North rival Chicago Bears (8-4) for the final time in the 2012 regular season on December 9th at Mall of America Field. The Bears handed the Vikings a 28-10 loss in their first meeting on November 25th. Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, the NFL’s leading rusher, is coming off a season-high 210 rushing yards against the Packers and is seeking his 7th straight game of 100+ yards. Peterson ran for 108 yards in the 1st meeting at Chicago.

Chicago Bears Offensive Coordinator Mike Tice spent 12 years with the Vikings organization as a player and coach. Tice served as the Vikings head coach for the final game in 2001 and from 2002-05. Vikings Head Coach Leslie Frazier (1981-86) and Special Assistant to the Head Coach/LB Coach Mike Singletary (1981-92) both played for the Bears and helped bring Chicago their only Super Bowl title in 1985.
