Check out a full photo gallery from Tuesday, as construction workers placed yet another piece of the steel Ridge Truss that will ultimately span the entire length of the new Vikings stadium from east to west.
This week workers installed an on-site mock-up of the clear ETFE roof that will ultimately cover 60% of the new stadium, and also began the install of the ring beam.
On Thursday, a major piece of the new Vikings stadium's steel "prow" was lifted. When completed, the west prow is expected to reach more than 270 feet above grade.
The second piece of structural steel was raised on Tuesday at the site of the new Vikings stadium. This is the second biggest piece of steel for the entire project and weighs more than 400,000 pounds.
