The fourth queen's post truss and the third on the new stadium roof's north side was placed this week. The 11 total queen's post trusses will run north and south and support the roof's metal decking and ETFE material.
The 5th piece of the new stadiumâs roof ridge truss was placed, bringing the structures from both the east and west sides of the stadium one step closer to connecting almost directly above what will be the 50-yard line.
Earlier this week the first of 10 queen's post trusses was placed on the construction site. Weighing 280,000 pounds and measuring 190 feet long by 11.5 wide, the steel beam extends north from the center ridge truss.
