Nick Moreno is in his 2nd as Assistant Instructor of the Skol Line. He has studied percussion for 22 years, focusing on the marching arts and jazz concepts. In the marching percussion activity, Nick played snare drum with Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corps and the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps, winning the Fred Sanford High Percussion Award in 1998. Instructional experiences include the Boys and Girls Club of Minneapolis Drumline, Minnesota Vikings Skol Line, Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corps and various high school programs throughout the state of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Giving back to the activity, Nick is in his 1st year as a board member of the Minnesota Brass Drum and Bugle Corps and 11th year as a board member of the Minnesota Percussion Association, currently serving as Vice President. Nick received a Bachelors degree in Marketing from Concordia University, St. Paul. Outside of the marching activity, Nick works for Home Federal Savings Bank as a Communications Project Specialist, focuses on jazz studies for drum set and enjoys spending time with his wife Heather.
