The Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders All Stars are overseen by the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders Head Coach and Coordinator Tami Krause and are a competitive team that rehearses under the direction of Co-Coaches/MVC Alumni Stephanie Baker and Krisan Shimpa.  The MVC All Stars have the opportunity to perform on the Mall of America Field Plaza prior to one of the Vikings home games; as well as perform at various local shows throughout the season, and the MVC All Stars will compete locally and nationally again this year.

The MVC All Stars consists of three elite groups divided by grades: Sparkle team (K-1st grade), Gold team (2nd – 4th grade) and Purple team (5th – 8th grade).  The Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders All Star team members are chosen during an audition process held in late summer/early fall each year.

This is one of the first competitive Junior All Star squads in the NFL!  Tami Krause wants to make sure that we challenge the young All Star members to become better dancers and performers, by providing them with unique dance opportunities, while also promoting life skills.

As the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders enjoy giving back to the community, the MVC All Stars will also be taking time to volunteer in the community through various charity events and activities as a team.

Continuing their success, the 2009 Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders All Star teams won two Grand Championship honors in their second year competing at the United Performing Association’s Americup Cheer & Dance National Championships in Minneapolis, MN.  What an amazing group!

The 2009 MVC Training Program is off to an incredible start!  This year, we have 29 high potential candidates who been working since June on their dance technique, stamina, fitness, cheer motions, poise, and much, much more.  Every Tuesday night, the ladies spend two hours working towards self improvement and getting ready for the 2010 MVC Auditions.  Besides practice time together! , this incredible group of ladies have also had the opportunity to attend a Vikings home game, donate time to a charitable event and motivate each other with runs around our lakes.  Once again, the Training Program has had a personal trainer in every other month to help motivate, give new ideas and ensure the Training Program is in top physical condition.  Numerous Guest Choreographers are teaching different styles in dance to help the group be as versatile as possible. The Training Program recently had the opportunity to show off their talent at the MVC Holiday Show at the Mall of America this month. These ladies are excited to keep pushing themselves towards their own personal best.  They are an amazing group- full of talent, charisma and kindness - we are excited to see what the future holds for all of them!!  Stay tuned for more!

As Head Coach Tami Krause says, "Once a MVC, always a MVC."  That is why each year, many talented and hard-working women join the A*Team.  The A*Team, introduced in 2007, consists of Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader Alumni, from 1984 (the inaugural year of the MVCs) to the present, who continue to enjoy a shared love for dance in support of the Minnesota Vikings and current MVCs.  Six months out of the year, the team meets weekly to participate in fun choreography and fantastic workouts led by our team members and coaches, and many guest instructors.  The A*Team performs before every Vikings home game on the Plaza to help get the crowd fired up, and occasionally performs with the current MVCs during in-game end-zone routines.  The A*Team members are diverse.  Mothers, professionals and wives, we enjoy each others' friendship and support and learn from each another.  One thing we all share is a love for the MVC family and the positive impact it’s had on our lives.  It's wonderful to see the same passion across every decade of cheering.  We love our Vikings, and we are thankful for the opportunity to continue to be a part of the MVC family!  GO VIKES!
