Quote: “You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it.”  - We Bought a Zoo

Place I’ve traveled and why: Nashville, Tennessee. This is the home of country music, cowboy boots are everywhere, and southern is my favorite accent.

Charity and why: Fruit of the Vine is my favorite, because it focuses on more than just being a food shelf for those in need. Here we screen for health related problems and provide resources for neighbors to find low cost clinics in their area.

My dream job: Cheering for the Minnesota Vikings.

On the top of my bucket list is: Traveling to Italy.

My hero: My dad.

Name an inspiring/influential woman in your life: My grandmother.

How do you define empowered? To me, empowered means being unapologetically yourself.

Where do you see yourself in five years? Hopefully in five years I will still be dancing my heart out, spending time with my favorite people, and enjoying life.

Where are you in your family line up? I am two and a half years older than my sister, but I’m somehow shorter than her. I was so lucky to grow up with a built-in best friend. My sister is by far the coolest person I know.

What was your favorite subject in school? Growing up, I never really had a favorite. I loved math and science, but I also could happily read for hours on end. Once I got a little older, I discovered how much I loved the medical field, and my favorite class in high school was probably Anatomy and Physiology because we got to dissect everything.

Do you have any pets? I have a miniature golden doodle named Bessie.

What is your favorite workout tip? Hydrate! I have a hard time getting through a workout if I don’t have some cold water to hydrate and cool me down.

My best beauty secret is: I take my beauty advice from Audrey Hepburn. She says, “For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”

Why did you decide to audition to become an MVC? I had a few coaches that were MVC when I was younger, and I always looked up to them. Then, one year I went to a Vikings game and was fascinated by the cheerleaders. I never thought I would end up on the sidelines myself! It has been such a wonderful experience.

What is your favorite memory as an MVC? My favorite memory is running out onto the field for the home opener against Green Bay in the new stadium last year. It was the first big game of the season, my boyfriend was supporting me up in the stands, and I was surrounded by the best teammates and friends in the world. The atmosphere of that game was unbelievable. I get chills just thinking about it.

Most valued lesson learned as an MVC: Resilience. I trained with the MVC Training Program for two years before I made the team, and it taught me to push myself and put 100% effort into chasing my dreams.

Trips taken as an MVC: 2015 Hall of Fame Game - Canton, Ohio. This was my first game as an MVC!

Awards received as an MVC: 2015 Rookie of the Year
