Autism Awareness Golf Tourney

Posted Jul 23, 2009

RT (Reece Trahan) Autism Awareness Foundation hosted the Willow Creek Golf Tournament in Rochester on Friday, July 10. The Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders were invited to be a part of this event. Kaylee, Mollie, and I had the opportunity to meet Reece, the golfers, and be a part of this wonderful event. What a great cause!!! The RT Autism Awareness Foundation is an organization devoted to helping people become more aware of Autism and the effects it has on children and their families. Brad and Joanie Trahan are the founders of this organization. Their website states, “Our organization is dedicated to promoting events for Autism Awareness to assure that children and families who face this battle will have the support they need. We want to make sure no one has to face this battle alone, today or in the future.”

Kaylee, Mollie, and I were happy to be involved with just one of many of special events hosted by this foundation. I spent the day on the golf course with team “Honkers” which consisted of my golfing buddies Joe, Brad, Wes, and Jesse. They were a handful, but we definitely had a great day and were able to support autism awareness at the same time! To learn more about this special foundation, check out the website: www.rtautismawareness.org.
