Entering his 18th season with the Vikings and his 11th as Director of Public Relations, Bob Hagan is responsible for coordinating print and electronic media coverage of the Vikings as well as overseeing the publication of the official team guide, yearbook and game programs and publicity of the team.Hagan began with the Vikings as an intern in public relations for the 1991 season and was named Director of Public Relations in 1998. A 1990 graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications, Hagan was an intern in 1989-90 for KARE-TV in the Twin Cities.In 1991 Hagan served as an intern in the Vikings public relations office under Director Merrill Swanson. In 1992 he was hired full time and served as an assistant under Swanson and then Dave Pelletier until his promotion to Director of Public Relations prior to the 1998 season. Following the 1998 and 2000 seasons, Hagan accompanied the Vikings staff and helped the NFL with PR efforts at the Pro Bowl. Recently, Hagan has worked with the NFL public relations staff at the past six Super Bowls. In 2007 Hagan participated in the NFL-Stanford Program for Managers at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a program developed by the NFL to promote growth of leaders within the League.A native of the Twin Cities, Hagan is a 1986 graduate of Wayzata High School. Hagan and wife Val reside in Plymouth, with children Matt, Carley and Brad.
