Sunday Off at Alltel Vikings Training Camp

8/3/2008 1:48:00 PM  |  By Mike Wobschall

After their second evening practice on Saturday night, Vikings coaches gave the players the day off on Sunday. There will be a meeting or two tonight after dinner, but players will enjoy a little down time for the most part today.

Last night’s full-pads scrimmage went well by most accounts. The team got some good work in what was just their third full-pads practice of camp. Marcus McCauley, Garrett Mills and Sidney Rice did not take part in the action last night, but it was nice to hear that Kendrick Allen, Thomas Tapeh, Bobby Wade, Marcus Walker and Pat Williams all participated; each of those players have missed some time at some point during camp.

It sounds like the Vikings spent a good portion of last night’s practice working on situations that had the offense either backed up deep in their own territory or facing third-and-long situations.

The team will be back on the field twice tomorrow, so we’ll have several updates for you. In the meantime, we have a couple links for you to check out.
