Free agents have been signed, the NFL draft is complete and this year’s rookies even have one minicamp under their belt. All of the hard offseason work is done with one thing in mind – the 2008 regular season.
And now, the Vikings are yet another step closer to the season because dates for 2008 Alltel Vikings Training Camp have been determined. The team will report to the campus of Minnesota State, Mankato, on Wednesday, July 23, with the first practice to be held on Friday, July 25.
The Vikings play a home preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, August 8, and will then return to Mankato for another week of practices. The team breaks camp on Friday, August 15 before heading out to Baltimore for a preseason contest with Ravens on Saturday, August 16. Practices will resume at Winter Park in Eden Prairie on August 18.
When 2008 Alltel Vikings Training Camp commences near the end of July, it will be the 43rd consecutive summer that the Vikings will call Mankato their training camp home.
