10 Years of MVC

3/25/2008

The “woman” behind the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders , Tami Krause, has just celebrated her 10th season as Head Coach of the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders. “It will take me 5 years to get the team noticed and 10 years to get the program where I want it.” Tami stated in her interview 10 years ago.

She started her first season with a team that consisted of 10 dancers, 6 cheerleaders, and 7 male stunters. The MVC has since evolved to consist of 30-36 women who appear at each Vikings home game and over 300 appearances a year.

Tami is always bringing innovative ideas to the MVC program. She has implemented Junior Cheer and Senior Cheer programs, a holiday show, the first MVC Calendar, Alumni Association, A-Team, Power Team, Training Program, MVC All Stars, Final Auditions at the MOA, and across the world travel opportunities to the MVC. Tami works hard to bring in a countless amount of sponsorships from hair to fitness and much more for the MVC to be the “entire package” and achieve the NFL look.

During Tami’s 10 year run as head coach of the MVC she has sent 10 girls to Pro-Bowl, had 8 different costumes, over 225 pairs of white boots, and the number of MVC she has coached………….well too many to count!!

As Head Coach she is always expecting the cheerleaders, staff, coaches, and herself to be at the top of their game. Tami is constantly re-building, re-designing, and re-creating the MVC year after year to make it the best!!! Women are clawing their ways to get in to have the opportunity to be surrounded and work with such excellence!!!!

This strong, loving, powerful, talented woman behind the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders is always moving forward! Here’s to the next 10 years of excellence! Tami Krause is the MVC – Most Valuable Coach!
